If You Like Pina Coladas…

Blue Life Crop Top + Pants: Planet Blue

Sun, sand and a pineapple in hand!

As the old adage goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” That basically applies here too! Except it’s more like, “When in Rocky Point, do get a piña colada from a piña colada truck!!” It’s pretty much one of the most importante things you could do! And luckily, piña coladas happen to be one of the 5 essential food groups while one vacation. The other four would be: chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso. (In that order!)

I’m so glad had I packed this breezy little Planet Blue number too, because (stretchy waistline) and whew! Was it hot! Not the drink, that was cold! I actually got a brain freeze.😋

I’ve been on a grail-quest for the perfect pina colada and found a near-perfect one from a tiki bar in Oakland. They chopped the ice into a slurpee like consistency and used macadamia oil to spice up the flavor. It smelled like A freshly opened bottle of Coppertone. It set the bar high for piña coladas. The quest goes on.

Wow I’m suddenly quenched for thirst just reading your description of it! I love a drink that reminds you of vacation no matter where you are. The quest does continue! Onward, my friend!

We all need one of those in our lives – would be great to get Piña Coladas on tap! We have just got back from a week in Croatia where sunset Piña Coladas quickly became part of our daily ritual. I wrote a poem about the bar where we would sit and drink them which features on my poetry blog today in case you have time to look? Sunny greetings, Sam 🙂
